A girl who needs to undo the past.
A boy who wants to forget it.
In love, there’s no way back.
At high school in Steep Hill, Kansas, Cassie O’Malley and Josh MacBride were the poster couple for quarterback/cheerleader romance until they starred in their own tale of teen pregnancy. No need to say: their shotgun wedding was low-key. But when there was no baby anymore, they went their separate ways.
Five years later, Josh has breezed through Georgetown and is about to finish his post-grad degree at Oxford University. He is set to join a lobbying group on Capitol Hill, owned by his new fiancée’s father. For Josh, the sky is now the limit… only he must first take care of a tiny legal matter: technically, he’s still married to the girl who broke his heart.
Meanwhile, Cassie has been waiting tables in Steep Hill to pay for her sick grandmother’s care. On the day of the old lady’s funeral, Cassie is served with two sets of papers. Josh is asking for a divorce. Her heart squeezes, but, well, he moved on a long time ago. But the second envelope shakes Cassie to the core. So, for the first time, she leaves Kansas and heads to good ol’ England.
There, Cassie finds that Josh has not just “moved on,” he’s freakin’ engaged to some blue-blooded heiress. The feelings Cassie had buried deep rush back to her. But no matter if he keeps thrusting the divorce papers under her nose, she needs him to save the only person she loves more than Josh, more than life itself.
“LOVE this book! Yes, there were times I wanted to throw my ipad across the room because Cassie made me SO frustrated, but in the end it was so worth it.” Ashley at The Chiquita Blog
“seriously folks, I love, love, love this book, it’s synopsis doesn’t do it justice, it’s an emotional roller coaster all through out and it makes you question what you would do if you were in that position.” Paperback Princess
“They go through a lot and find that love is something you have to work for, there are consequences and repercussions that result from bad choices and lies, broken hearts and hurt feelings take time to mend, and finally, that honesty and truth are the glue that holds love together.” Always YA at Heart
“Basically I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this book 😀 There isn’t a question about it! when you read the book please contact me 🙂 I really need someone to rant with :P” SBookLover
“No Reverse was one of those silently beautiful books that packed a ton of emotions.” Nick’s Book Blog
“The end of this book is what really made it for me! Although the characters kind of got part of their happily ever after, it also opened up the story for so much more. I am so excited to read the next book as I can see it being filled with drama and angst and have no doubt that it will be just as good, if not better than the first one!” Blame it on the rain.
“Honestly, this book sucked me in and kept me hooked. It was a sobfest, and it completely messed with my emotions- not a pretty sight. Marion Croslydon’s writing is engaging and the story had me absorbed through the twists and turns. We get a HFN, but I NEED to know what happens next!” The Rookie Romance
“…one of the best written emotionally slaying book I’ve read in a while.” Must Read Books Or Die
“No Reverse was such a touching book to read.” Bridger Bitches Book Blog
“This story isn’t all hearts and flowers; it’s more bittersweet—my favorite flavor. With the little, unique details and nuances that made the relationships feel real came realistic actions and mistakes. No Reverse is about love, different types, that transcend time and distance, maybe even reason, because while I certainly wanted to dislike Josh, Lenore (his fiancee), or even Cassie at one moment or another, I couldn’t. There was no turning back after meeting and loving them all.” The Luv’ NV
“Once again, Marion – You’ve captivated me with your words. I booklove you.” The Reading Vixens
“There are secondary characters in this book who stole my heart too. I hope we hear more from Sam and Lenore. I’d love to see a story for each of them. I can’t wait for more from this author. This was angst filled book. Readers will be taken on an emotional journey and you’ll come away loving these flawed but real characters.” As The Page Turns
“This story grabbed a hold on my heart and would not let go. No Reverse will capture your heart, body and soul.” Smut Book Junkie Book Reviews
“A wonderful story of first love lost, taking chanceson the unknown and hope of gaining what was lost.” LeAnn’s Book Reviews
“This is a story of the past crashing into the future and love balancing things out but there are somefun moments when you see both characters at their best.” Books are Love
